Feldmann, on Animal Issues:

"I believe that my first real experience with animals was with companion animals, having dogs (I have had four so far). The connection I have had with them has been as deep as any human relationship - they are all so different from one another. Knowing this, and experiencing these relationships, I know that animals are one of the purest forms of life. They only take what they need and they are so honest ... there is no hidden agenda with animals. I have always felt a close connection with them - and this is why I feel it is my duty to help them - I have to speak for them. 

No one ever teaches you how animals are raised for food, how they are tested on, treated in circuses, in labs - there is no platform for the animals and they can't speak for themselves - so people like me who know the truth about how they are treated have to speak for them. Growing up, it's all lies. My parents told me I needed to eat meat three times a day to have energy. In school they obviously don't teach you about the suffering animals go through. All the cafeteria food is a meat option. You go to McDonalds and the Hamburglar says hamburgers grow in patches and they need to be eaten. 

Again, all not true... You are never taught the correlation between a living, breathing, sensitive, animal and what is on your hamburger bun. This has been my focus, to educate others about animal suffering."
