Animal News Van Launches with a Bang

Santa Monica: The Animal News Van was launched admit a flurry of flashing cameras, celebrities, and excited fans. Founder of Last Chance for Animals Chris DeRose spoke of the thousands of animals his organization has saved, including approximately 700 animals just recently in the bust of the largest B-dealer in the country, C.C. Baird http://www.lcanimal.org/invest/baird.htm . He explained that the Animal News Van is LCA’s educational tool, which brings the plight of animals like those kept at C.C. Baird’s operation to the public’s attention by sporting around the city, playing video footage on its TV screens. 


Grateful celebrities told their favorite animal story and let the press know that they deeply appreciate what LCA does for animals. Stars such as Natalie Raitano “VIP,” Sara Ramos “American Dreams,” Dana Daurey “Providence” and their K-9 companions appeared and told their favorite pet stories. KCAL correspondent, Bonnie Jill Laflin, and her Boston Terrier Chihuahua mix “ Diamond” came dressed in matching pink rhinestone t-shirts. David Shark Fralick “Young and the Restless” smooched his dog “Chevy” on the lips for the cameras. Michael DeBarres “Halloween 4” was all paws up and spoke about the cruelty of dog fighting with the Long Beach Ice Dogs mascot “Spike” comically air boxing next to him. Also having a blast at the event were Lori Holden, Midajah, Sarah Ramos &Geminee, and EG Daily, (Voice of Tommy Pickles “ Rugrats”).
